Teen Self Defense
We will teach your teenager how to handle virtually any dangerous situation or confrontation that they may encounter. Give yourself the peace of mind of knowing that your teen will confidently deal with trouble if it comes their way. The IMPACT Teenage Program teaches verbal defense skills like raising their voice, speaking up and saying NO, and enforcing boundaries and personal space. We also teach physical defense skills such as striking an attacker's vulnerable areas, escaping from holds and grabs, and using the strongest parts of their own bodies (elbows, knees, etc.) as self defense weapons.
We cover a range of key self-defense topics, including: |

Teenage Girls Personal Safety Course
Teenage girls and young women may be especially vulnerable targets for malicious boys and men. We teach girls how to handle problems like unwanted and inappropriate advances, bullying and social conflict, dangers at parties and events, and even vicious crimes like attempted rape, abuse, or abduction. Girls must be made aware of the ways they can be targeted by predators, as well as how those predators may try to take advantage of them. Whether the threat comes from a stranger or from someone they know, girls need to be prepared to defend themselves and their personal space, to speak up confidently to back someone off, and to fight off an attacker if necessary. The life-saving skills in this course will help teenage girls and young women live safe and secure day to day lives.

Teenage Boys Self Defense Course
Teenage boys and young men may face threats like social violence, bullying, school fights, gang activity, or even attempted abuse or abduction. Society puts pressure on males to act tough, but aggression isn’t necessarily what will protect young men’s safety and well-being. We teach boys how to use confident, intelligent verbal skills to resolve conflict without resorting to fighting when possible. We also teach boys how to recognize the warning signs of a predator someone trying to take advantage of them. And when it comes to a physical encounter, we teach how to stop the threat with effective defensive tactics. No matter what kind of dangers teenage boys come up against, we prepare them to assess the threat, protect themselves, and get out safe.
